For Leica, Hasselblad and other “premium” cameras, please enquire.

The above prices are a guideline only and do not include the cost of additional parts should any be needed. The specific condition of your camera will also factor in. A well maintained and clean camera will always cost less for me to work on than a poorly maintained or filthy camera.

I endeavour for my pricing to be as accessible and affordable as possible, therefore I price my services to cover my time and the cost of materials without adding on additional charges. Like everyone, I have bills to pay, but your cameras are important and I don’t believe that you should be charged an inflated price for simple services. I won’t dupe you. If the agreed repair or service is completed much faster than anticipated, I will reduce your quote appropriately!

The frequently asked.

  • Step 1:
Reach out! Complete the contact form as best you can. I will then follow up with you to discuss and advise on my availability and the next steps. A rough idea of cost can be found below, however you will be provided a bespoke quote!

    Step 2:
Your camera needs to get here and generally the best way to do that is via postal service. I always advise that cameras are securely packaged and sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery to ensure the contents are adequately insured and to reduce the handling time of your camera.

    Step 3:
I will reach out when your camera arrives and let you know when it will undergo assessment and diagnostic if needed. Within 48 hours you will receive a summary, quote and estimated completion time. If parts need to be sourced, estimated completion time will be slightly longer.

    Step 4:
Once I hear back that you’re happy for me to undertake work, I will…undertake the work. Your camera will be looked after as if it was my own and I will provide you regular updates so you know how it’s getting on. Your camera will undergo full field testing if needed and then be packaged up ready to be returned to you via the pre-agreed method of delivery.

    Step 5:
You will receive photos/video of your camera looking great and working perfectly. Payment will be required at this point. Your camera will then be returned to you with a 6 month warranty, meaning you’re happy, I’m happy…it’s a win win!

  • The assessment fee of £20 still stands. This covers the time taken to remove previous seals, dirt and semi-dismantle your camera where necessary. The fee is always deducted from the end quote.

    For light seals only:
All light seal replacement starts at £20 and depending on the camera, can be up to £50. Light seals are not only around the film door, most cameras have internal seals that degrade and also need replacing.

    For deep cleans only:
All deep cleans start at £50 and depending on the camera, can be upwards of £100.

For both new seals and a deep clean:
It’s much more efficient to combine services like these. For replacement seals and deep cleans prices start at £50 and can be upwards of £100.

    For a new leatherette:
Prices start at £15 and varies depending on the camera and type of material requested.

The above prices are a guideline and the specific condition of your camera will factor in. A well maintained camera will always cost less for me to work on than a poorly maintained or downright filthy camera. It happens…I don’t judge.

  • Assessing your cameras takes time - sometimes up to 2 hours!

The fee covers the time taken to fully assess the cameras condition and run diagnostics. Once we agree a repair or service, the fee will be deducted from the end quote.

  • You’ll be advised of a rough “ballpark” figure when booking your camera in for a repair. Once your camera has undergone assessment, you’ll then receive a specific quote relating to the work that is needed to get your camera back in tip top shape!

  • I accept cameras via postal service, and/or in person if convenient.

When posting your camera, please ensure your camera is packaged adequately. Cameras in postal bags with bubble wrap is not adequate. Your camera should be sent in a sturdy and spacious enough box so that your camera has impact absorbing material between it and the box from all angles. E.g bubble wrap, foam etc

I will retain your packaging and endeavour to return your camera to you packaged in the same way it was sent to me. Please send your item to me either via 24 or 48 Tracked, or by Special Delivery.

First or Second Class "Signed For" services by Royal Mail only insure contents up to £20 and don't offer any tracking. If it’s going to go missing, it will be via this service!

This all sounds complicated and I’m not sure what I need…

If the above has boggled your brain, or you just want an outright answer on what your camera might need to get it as shiny and new looking again then reach out.

I am always happy to talk things through and make it all make sense. Either reach out by clicking the “Contact Me” button below, or send me an email at rollwithitcameras@gmail.com.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
